His cheekbones looked like they were chiseled into shape by a master craftsman. The first time I met him, his perfectly-shaped lips were inviting, and ripe for kissing. Ngai! I was tempted to attack him with a kiss, but my dignity retrained me. Boy, oh boy! Don’t get me started on his hot body; firm biceps, broad shoulders, strong arms and all. Father Abraham However, to cut a long story short, what I saw is not necessarily what I got in the long run. In a nutshell, from that experience, I learnt to always look, appreciate but never get involved with hunks. Well, there is nothing wrong with a date or two. But settling down with such a man is just inviting problems. Most, and women who have dated such can attest, tend to be players. They change women like diapers. Most of the so-called Father Abrahams (men with many kids with different women all over town) are always these hot men. The handsomeness gives them a lot of confidence and courage to approach women. Coupled with arrogance, such a man can cheat on you and feel nothing about it. ALSO READ: Never tattoo his name on your butt, it will last the flames won’t Ok, dating a hot man is fun. He is like an extra accessory that makes you look good, leaving other women jealous of you. But then again, who wants to spend her man hours warding off other women? A hot man is like public property. Every woman wants a piece of him. Even if he has two wedding rings on his finger, women will keep stalking him. Just ask Victoria Beckham, she could probably write a dissertation on the agony of being married to a ‘hot’ man. When Beckham was the hottest piece of meat sashaying the football field, Victoria suffered everything from cheating, to death threats, to women literally throwing themselves at his feet in her presence, to nannies attempting to write tell-all books. Even now the poor woman has banned carbohydrates from her diet and instead feeds on pollen in the name of looking young and skinny for her hot husband. Who really wants all this trouble? It really is too much work! Sweet nothings When it comes to courting women, don’t expect clever and well-thought out pick up lines from hot dudes. They fall short in that department. Look, such men have been attracting women throughout their lives. They hardly make the first move. Instead, it’s women who always throw themselves at them. Another convenience of online dating is that you don't have to leave your house to get a date; kinda like Netflix® don't ya think? No need to drop a pound or two and drag yourself to a Happy Hour or a meet-up group. Nope; just a couple of taps on your keyboard and presto: Janine appears on your screen to tell you that she loves to laugh, isn't needy, loves her children more than life itself, and can find time to fit you into her mind-boggling schedule.

2. Unlimited options means you may have a hard time finding someone who's willing to commit.
Three words: paradox of choice . Having an unlimited pool of potential dates can not only make people feel less satisfied with their ultimate decision, but it can also lead them to freeze up and not make a choice at all. In fact, that aforementioned 2012 review found that online daters were less willing to settle down and commit to a single partner while they had boundless options literally at their fingertips, a sentiment that 32 percent of Internet users echoed in a 2013 Pew Research Center poll.

Most humans are addicted to initial flirtations and the "drug" of being liked, appreciated and wanted. The Internet is an illusion of meeting. The connection is based on internalized and selfish feelings, often projections of what we are looking for, rather than what the other person is actually like.
